INFORMATION
Alice R. Kamin, M.S., CCC - SLP, a certified and licensed speech-language pathologist is owner and director of Speech Potential Associates which specializes in accent modification with foreign born, as well as, native English speakers. Her practice is devoted to reducing foreign, regional and non-standard accents and dialects.
Ms. Kamin earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from The Pennsylvania State University and has done extensive study in the field of accent reduction. She is co-author of several software programs designed to rehabilitate speech and language.
Ms. Kamin has been in private practice for 20 years. She has helped non-native English
speakers from all over the world, and native English speakers throughout the United States
to reduce their accents and improve their speaking skills. She has worked with a diversity
of clients including corporate executives, physicians, nurses and other health care
professionals, university professors, lawyers, scientists, computer specialists, media
professionals, clergy, actors and politicians, among whom was a Consul General
to the United States.
Ms. Kamin is dedicated to breaking down professional and social communication barriers that result from misunderstood pronunciations and speaking patterns among diverse cultures.
